Online American Sign Language Instructor for Middle and High School Students

Are you passionate about teaching American Sign Language and excited about online education? We're looking for dedicated ASL instructors to join our team and teach American Sign Language to middle and high school students online. In this role, you will be teaching American Sign Language courses to students aged 12 to 18, helping them fulfill their high school World Language requirements. Our curriculum is designed to be engaging and aligned with standards, focusing on real-world communication and Project-Based Learning, supported by a Resource Library.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one online lessons via Microsoft Teams.
• Assign and evaluate homework assignments and projects.
• Monitor and track student progress and grades.
• Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment.
• Show respect and encouragement to all students.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 1-2+ years of experience teaching American Sign Language, either online or in a classroom setting.
• ASL interpreting skills are a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Proficiency with technology and Microsoft Office.
• Strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and a student-centered approach to teaching.
  
  

Additional Information

• This is a contract-based position.
• We are an equal-opportunity employer and do not sponsor work visas. Teachers are offered either an international contract if residing outside the US or a US-based contract if legally permitted to work in the US.
• Hourly rates are based on teaching experience, education, and other relevant qualifications.
