Job Description:

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity is looking for a Project Manager capable of leading a large-scale clinical standardization project. The project manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the successful completion of the project.


Responsibilities:

• The project manager must be capable of leading a large-scale clinical standardization project.

• The project manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the successful completion of the project.

• They will serve as the central point of communication and coordination among team members, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring that project goals and objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

• The project manager will establish project plans, allocate resources, manage risks, and monitor progress.

• The project manager will build relationships with internal and external resources and report regularly on the project status to leadership.

• Defining project approaches, leading initiation, planning, and sequencing exercises, analyzing, and clarifying project scope and desired outcomes, integrating project information into management plans and reports, facilitating the production of project deliverables, defining and employing tools required to measure, monitor and manage the timely completion of project outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Information Management, Public or Business Administration or equivalent combination of applicable education and experience OR University Degree in either Business Administration, Healthcare, or Information Technology

• 8 years of project management experience, with a proven history of managing large, cross-functional teams, overseeing budgets, and delivering multiple projects on time and within scope in a fast-paced environment.

• 5 years of demonstrated direct experience managing healthcare IT projects, with a specific focus on developing or implementing Health Information Systems (HIS)/ Clinical Information Systems (CIS) and Clinical standardization.

Scored qualifications:

• 5 years of experience planning and overseeing transformative clinical information system-related projects to ensure they are completed on time, on budget and according to the agreed scope of delivery.

• 5 years of experience leading projects through the full lifecycle using adaptive (agile) and predictive (waterfall) modes.

• 5 years of demonstrated experience expertise employing project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.

• 5 years of experience working with cross functional business and technical teams that include a mix of in-house and external resources and stakeholders.

• 5 years of demonstrated experience working with a high level of self-direction, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently engage and collaborate with project team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders at all levels.

• Demonstrated experience leading large transformational health projects (over 2 years in duration) requiring the consolidation of multiple applications and tools.

• Previous experience working within New Brunswick's two regional health authorities (RHA), displaying a strong understanding of the local healthcare landscape, policies, and practices.

• Current Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), PRINCE2 designation or other industry-recognized project management accreditation.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams) in the work environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in both French and English is strongly preferred

Hourly rate: $115/hour.
