Senior Tax Compliance Analyst

Position Overview

You will play a crucial role in managing tax-related tasks and supporting our business units with various tax issues. This position involves calculating book-to-tax differences, preparing federal and state tax estimates and returns, and assisting with tax accounting assignments. You’ll also handle other miscellaneous filings as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance:
• Calculate book-to-tax differences with accuracy.
• Enter and review data in tax systems.
• Prepare federal and state tax returns along with supporting schedules.
• Perform additional miscellaneous tasks as required.
• Tax Accounting and Reporting:
• Prepare calculations for deferred tax assets, permanent differences, and financial reporting reconciliations.
• Enter data into provision systems accurately.
• Audits and Special Projects:
• Respond to notices from tax authorities.
• Assist Managers and Senior Managers with special projects and tasks as needed.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or a master's degree in taxation (or current candidacy for MST) is expected.
• Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent mathematical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in preparing corporate federal and multi-state tax filings.
• Experience with Corptax, Hyperion Tax Provision, or similar tax compliance and provision software is preferred.
• Familiarity with Alteryx or similar systems is a plus.
