Job Summary:

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to help grow our business in Europe.  Reporting into the Director for Europe Markets, this role will be responsible for all aspects of Paid marketing. With successful growth over the past five years, the European region still has strong room for growth and requires a multi-disciplined entrepreneurial individual to help build and execute the growth marketing plan. 

A matrix business with many functions in-house, this role requires someone who is adaptable and able to move quickly between strategy & execution. An analytical data driven personality with passion for performance marketing and a hunger to hit retail targets.  Comfortable in high growth environments and very ‘hands-on’, your influence will extend across the wider marketing strategy and retention initiatives but a real focus will be on driving performance using paid media. 

 

Job Expectations:

A key part of this role is to build out a strong regional and local market paid marketing strategy and execution plan, focused on driving cost effective new customer acquisition and orders using a range of digital activities including: PPC, Meta & Tiktok. With many markets to cover (with some key focus markets) we require someone who can execute at scale with a mind to automation. 

  • Build a full funnel strategy to target and acquire new customers in our key target European markets - priorities being UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, Poland, Spain & Netherlands
  • Define key metrics to set and measure performance per channel within agreed budgets. 
  • Build and execute scalable paid media structures and activity to ensure we can maximise spend and return for a wide set of markets. 
  • Report daily, weekly results and progress against spend and sales plan.  Analyse channel reports from the key markets, translate findings into insights and actionable growth tactics 
  • Understand local customer behavior and translate into local customer marketing initiatives 
  • Reflect key promotional events in local marketing activity. Help to shape relevant local promotions for the channels we work with. 
  • Bring a ‘test and learn’ mindset to try new channels and activities in markets to drive overall brand awareness and customer growth - a full funnel approach which is ultimately measurable
  • Iterate creative to drive performance across channels such as Meta and Tiktok, working closely with internal and external partners to localise and drive performance. 
  • Work closely with Director Europe to plan and test new marketing channel spend which will drive new customer and profitable sales growth i.e. Working with Affiliates & Influencer activity & CRM team to drive LTV 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • The ideal candidate should demonstrate a genuine passion for digital marketing with proven ability in driving retail growth for a pureplay business.
  • A font of knowledge, this person will be uptodate with industry and channel trends, experiment with new strategies, and continuously optimize campaigns to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • They will have experience of working across the UK and at least 1-2 other European markets in a growth marketing/paid media role.  
  • Relationship building skills will be key to ensure strong collaboration with cross functional team members (global channel leads at HQ in the US) internally as well as externally with execution teams. 
  • Ideally you will have successfully shown growth results in an online retailer covering multiple markets. You understand how to plan and execute paid media strategies to drive profitable retail revenue and new customer outcomes and have experience managing a £5m plus annual marketing budget. 
  • Hands-on execution experience is essential.
