Renaissance Global are recruiting for a new Sales Consultant working in our Sales and Business Development department.

We are looking for a talented individual to work in our new exciting, fast-paced team. The core purpose of this role is to identify new business opportunities, centred on solutions that will improve teaching, learning and assessment practices in schools.

You’ll be part of a team that strives to educate school leaders in the UK about the benefits of both  Assessment products for their staff and pupils, through a face to face consultative approach. This role is fundamental to achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth targets.

Job Responsibilities: 
  • Develop qualified leads across LAs, maintained primary and secondary schools and independent schools.
  • Proactively generate appointments with Exec leadership teams and key external stakeholders at Trust and Academy level, to understand individual and collective requirements.
  • Provide bespoke solutions and identify cross selling opportunities tailored to each customer in order to meet and exceed set targets and to develop a long term relationship.
  • Work to KPIs as set by the Head of MATs
  • Accountable for the delivery of monthly and termly sales targets within your assigned region.
  • Work in partnership with the wider sales function in order to proactively identify new business opportunities that require further development before closure.
  • Be agile and well informed in the way you work in response to changes within the educational landscape and market conditions to deliver the Assessment sales plan.
  • Develop and execute your annual territory plan to grow existing business revenue and drive new development opportunities through managing an ambitious yet realistic pipeline.
  • Being a team player, being active in the team’s development to ensure we are constantly reviewing current processes and putting customers first.
  • Production of a regular weekly and monthly report with forecast and analyst of performance, competitor movement and market feedback
Skills and Education Required:
  • Written: Excellent written English (style, grammar, spelling)
  • Strong and confident communicator
  • Phone: Well-spoken and clear. Professional, helpful, friendly phone manner
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to ask questions to better understand customer needs
  • Strong negotiating/influencing skill to develop long term relationships
  • Solution selling approach
  • In depth knowledge and experience of the schools education market
  • Evidence of successful planning – self starter
  • Effective user of CRM systems for time management, planning and organisation purposes
  • Commercial acumen to support an enterprising approach to selling
  • Ability to assimilate product knowledge and map to customer needs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, strong in Excel
  • Experience of working within the education sector as a practitioner with strong sales potential/a strong track record in sales within the education sector/A proven track record in sales and a strong understanding of the education sector
  • The successful candidate must hold a valid EU driving licence
  • Likely to be educated to “A” level or degree level or equivalent
  • Teaching/Exam Board experience

This is a remote role offering salary between £38,000- £41,000 per annum plus OTE.
