Primary Responsibilities

• Excellence in Underwriting: Maintain high standards and engage in collaborative problem-solving.
• Relationship Building: Develop relationships with wholesale brokers to generate new Property submissions.
• Risk Assessment: Underwrite Property submissions by evaluating risk characteristics and applying guidelines for rates and terms.
• Service Excellence: Provide exceptional service, handling quotes, underwriting decisions, and negotiations with professionalism.
• Product Mastery: Understand and leverage proprietary policies, contributing to product improvements.
• Portfolio Management: Collaborate with senior management on portfolio management to ensure competitive terms and profitability.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with underwriting, loss control, and claims departments for cohesive risk management.
• Technology Use: Use our policy admin system to maintain thorough underwriting files and quality control protocols.
• Loss Control Integration: Utilize Loss Control resources for detailed risk assessments and added value.
  
  

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3 years underwriting Property risks, including high-hazard occupancies.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and technology skills; ability to manage responsibilities effectively.
• Education: Bachelor's degree required; post-graduate or certifications such as MBA, CPCU, or ARM preferred.
• Professionalism: Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
