Application Security Developer - JavaScript, Java, and Python

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using JavaScript (Node/React), Java (Spring Boot), and Python.
• Ensure applications and their dependencies are current and work to mitigate vulnerabilities identified in SAST/DAST scans.
• Participate in design meetings, consult with clients, and refine, test, and debug programs to align with business needs.
• Collaborate with and sometimes guide third-party partners to achieve business and technology goals.
• Document system specifications, perform performance testing, and manage maintenance for both internally developed and purchased products.
• Implement IT controls to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and data.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Strong proficiency with React and Node, particularly in dependency management and large upgrades.
• Experience with web application security and Java/Gradle.
• Proficiency in the MERN stack and keeping applications up-to-date.
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot web applications and programming in multiple object-oriented languages, including React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, and HTML.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and BASH.
• Solid understanding of DOM manipulation, client-side validation, and web/UI development tools (Node, React, Spring Boot, CI/CD Pipelines, Jenkins).
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript/jQuery, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and communicate technical information clearly.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with common web application vulnerabilities and vulnerability frameworks.
• Familiarity with Risk Rating (CVSS, Qualitative Analysis, Quantitative Analysis).
• Domain experience in Health Care, Financial sectors, or similar fields.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in technical design and coding within the IT industry.
• High School Diploma or GED.
