Your missions

Sweep is hiring a Software QA Engineer to work on our sustainability data management platform.

Climate change is the defining challenge of our era, and technology is at the center of the fight. Sweep is arming companies with tools to manage their climate impact, thereby contributing to a better future for everyone.

Ok, sounds promising. What will I be doing?

As part of the engineering team, you will work on ensuring the best quality of our SaaS tool that allows companies to measure and track their greenhouse gas emissions, set reduction goals and report on progress towards a cleaner future. Sweep SaaS supports a wide range of use cases centered around collecting and reporting of ESG (Environmental, social, and governance) data. This role is centered around the manual testing process: you will step into a role with an established knowledge base – no need to start from scratch, you'll have the resources you need to succeed.

To be more specific, this includes:

1. Build for quality 🔍

  • Review and analyze functional and technical requirements to create tests plans
  • Execute test plans, collaborate within the team to specify automated tests plans
  • Investigate and qualify customer bugs, report new bugs or raise alerts on unclear aspects of the Product
  • Review and challenge test cases and test strategy from feature teams
  • In a context of heavily automated testing, help identify test cases candidates for automations

2. Be a team citizen 👫

  • Participate actively in the team meetings (standup, planning, etc)
  • Stand as a quality gate keeper of your team
  • Collaborate on the functional specifications
  • Occasionally provide advance support to internal users

3. Shape our product for reliability

  • Shape our quality process as part of Sweep journey toward excellence
  • Monitor, document and track bugs, contribute to quality metrics as part of a data driven development process
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and performance of our product, influencing key decisions that drive success

That sounds just right for me. What do I need to bring?

Glad you asked. This is who we’re looking for:

Qualifications 🏆

  • 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related role
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Experience with analytics and data driven approach

Qualities 🧠

  • You value quality over quantity
  • You are enthusiastic, self motivated and autonomous
  • You bring all-round communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively
  • You bring a detailed oriented mindset to a complex product
  • You care about our mission of creating a better future for all of us

Copy that. And what’s in it for me?

You will be joining an exciting young business that has the humble ambition to change the world. With a proven track record in starting companies, we’re hitting the ground running and aim to have an impact fast. Joining this journey allows you to really help shape our path.

As a growing company with great ambitions in terms of product quality, Sweep offers great opportunities to upskill and develop in the area of automation testing, platform observability, SRE. At the junction of product specifications and technical implementation, you will be the advocate for end users.

You will join a dynamic (mostly remote) team of engineers, business minds, creatives and carbon experts spread across Europe. We’re a fun bunch of people that want to work hard, enjoy ourselves while doing so. And we believe in creating a calm environment, that knows that life is not just work, and we’ll all be doing better work because of that.

We’re big believers in creating successful businesses that are good for everyone, including society and the planet. That’s why we’re a “Entreprise à Mission” and a Certified B Corp.

We think this might be the ride of our lives. And hopefully yours, too.
