Summary of Job Duties:
The Principal Investigator (PI) is seeking a part-time Project Coordinator to work on an NIH-funded project. The Project Coordinator will report to the Principal Investigator. The Project Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day aspects of participant screening, recruitment, visits, and retention and may assist with the analysis and dissemination of qualitative interviews and/or survey data. The duties will include participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, and retention; managing recruitment and screening data records; entering data, programming, pilot testing, and administering surveys through the use of online programs (i.e., REDCap). The Program Coordinator must be attentive to details, problem-solve, and work collaboratively and independently to complete tasks on time.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of project coordination or administrative support experience or

  • Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years of project coordination or administrative support experience requried.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

  • Experience in working on surveys or focus groups/qualitative interviews is a bonus

  • Experience in developing PowerPoint and other scientific presentations.

  • Experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders; ability to work in a team and independently; highly motivated; creative; critical thinking; resourceful; responsible; collaborative; and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be willing to screen and recruit participants.

  • Ability to learn new technology and techniques.

  • Experience in working on teams and independently.

  • Self-starter and highly motivated.

  • Ability to work with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MPH or completion of course requirements.

  • Experience working on public health projects.

  • Master’s degree plus one (1) year of relevant research experience.

  • Experience in statistical analyses, health, computer science, marketing research, or related field may also be considered.

  • Experience in the use of REDCAP and/or CLARA.

  • Experience in the use of SPSS, SAS, R, or other statistical packages.

  • Experience in conducting or analyzing qualitative interviews.


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • ​Participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, and retention. Enter and maintain recruitment, screening, and participant contact records.

  • Assist with interview scheduling and note-taking, survey dissemination, and intervention development.

  • Participates in regular project meetings, and trainings, provides updates on progress, and communicates regularly with the study team on recruitment and data collection progress.

  • Work with the study team to develop and implement secure systems for assuring the quality, confidentiality, and safety of the data and work with the data manager to maintain appropriate study logs, records, and databases.

  • Assist and maintain accurate records.

  • Track incentives and assist with mail.

  • Assist with the quality control and integrity of the data.

  • Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data.

  • Develop and modify protocols for training and research studies.

  • Participate in weekly team meetings; completing tasks in a timely manner.

  • Works with the team to analyze qualitative and quantitative data, write papers, and prepare presentations.

  • Work with the study team to problem-solve issues, develop appropriate solutions, and assist the study team when needed. 

  • Work with the Investigator Team to develop regular reports of study progress and preliminary data.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
