Part Time Physician Advisor

Location: Remote for South Carolina Residents

Company Description

Greater Good Health is a community of healthcare providers, operators, and builders whose mission is to address health disparities and reimagine senior healthcare. To do this, we partner with payers to bring value-based primary care to underserved communities and work alongside risk-bearing organizations to develop innovative, value-based clinical programs – all designed exclusively for older adults and their unique healthcare needs. Grounded in our mission and core values, we are building a better, simpler healthcare experience for the patients we serve and the providers who care for them.

The Role

Physician Advisors at Greater Good Health act as a key liaison with Nurse Practitioners, ensuring that clinical care meets regulatory requirements, aligns with quality standards, and optimizes resource efficiency. They provide clinical expertise, guidance, and oversight in areas such as utilization management, clinical documentation improvement, and regulatory compliance, all while promoting high-quality, cost-effective patient care. Physician Advisors are tasked with reviewing a minimum of 20% of GGH Nurse Practitioners' charts to identify opportunities for enhancement. In South Carolina, each Physician Advisor is assigned to and oversees four (4) GGH Nurse Practitioners.

Responsibilities:

Oversight – up to 4 hours / week

Physician Advisors will be responsible for reviewing a minimum of 20% of GGH Nurse Practitioners’ charts and identifying opportunities for improvement. In the state of California, each Physician Advisor will be matched with and oversee four (4) GGH Nurse Practitioners.

Expectations:

  • Completed charts are reviewed weekly, and competed no later than by the following Friday
  • Feedback email is generated upon completion of weekly review by Physician Advisor to NP and CC GGH Operator
  • Log into relevant EMRs or documentation portals, and review any other supporting data that could identify learning opportunities for NP
  • Upon request, provide formal feedback to GGH Operator on NP performance

Escalation – up to 2 hours / week

Physician Advisor will be responsible for fielding emails and escalations from Nurse Practitioners. This will require monitoring of the physicianadvisors@greatergoodhealth.com inbox and their individual GGH email accounts.

Expectations:

  • Respond to emails within 24 hours
  • Escalate to GGH Operators as necessary
  • Documentation of incidences or urgent matters

Onboarding & Training – up to 3-6 hours / month

GGH usually onboards new hires once a month. If available and interested, Physician Advisors will be speakers on various topics.

Expectations:

  • Review material (e.g., PowerPoint slides)
  • Deliver training and facilitate Q&A
  • Offer feedback to GGH on how to improve content/delivery
  • Collaborate with GGH Institute in creating new content
