Job Description:

   

The Global Advanced HPC Deployment team is designed to serve HPE’s High Performance Computing (HPC) business in delivering the highest level of solution to our HPC Customers. This not only includes the installation and integration of the most advanced Supercomputers, Highspeed Networks and Storage technologies in the world; but also, the industry-specific technologies and services which enable each of HPE’s HPC Customers to deliver on their unique mission and value.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees multiple engagements with customers and coordinates with other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of configuration, maintenance, and optimization for High Performance Compute products and platforms at the solutions level. This includes but is not limited to system administration, design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration.

  • Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.

  • Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.

  • Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.

  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

About You

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

  • Typically 6-10 years experience.

  • Expertise in Linux and cluster system administration, SW provisioning in a PXE environment.

  • Proficiency with batch schedulers, working in modules environment, monitoring/Nagios/ganglia, parallel filesystems.

  • Experience with HPC fabrics/topologies, networking and datacomms.

  • Expert shell programming skills.

  • Knowledge of MPI

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $111,000.00 - $255,500.00
