Job description

Your role
The role involves driving monthly sales targets by identifying, qualifying, and closing prospects. You'll present global payment and risk management solutions to New Zealand corporates, aiming to convert them into clients. This includes attending appointments for needs analysis, expanding client relationships, and leveraging your industry network to generate new opportunities for Corpay. You'll also stay engaged with prospects through periodic follow-ups, maintain updates in Salesforce, and continually develop your sales skills.
What you'll be doing

Corpay is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Business Development Manager to join our newly established New Zealand office, at Britomart Place, Auckland.

This is a unique opportunity to join the world’s largest non-bank provider of cross-border payments and foreign exchange risk management solutions. You’ll join a thriving corporate sales team and focus on generating new business in the B2B payments segment.

In this senior position, you will play a critical role in expanding our market presence, driving sales growth, and establishing strategic partnerships. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. You’ll strategically target new clients by following up on internal leads, leveraging your network, and proactively reaching out to new businesses. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship in a supportive, close-knit environment, with ongoing career advancement opportunities within New Zealand and Corpay’s global network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly targets by identifying, qualifying, and closing prospects
  • Attend face-to-face appointments with prospects to conduct needs analysis and discovery
  • Leverage your industry network to open up new opportunities for Corpay by attracting new talent, identifying potential client opportunities, providing industry insight, building market awareness of Corpay, and representing us in the industry
  • Present Corpay’s global payment and risk management solutions to corporates in NZ and successfully convert prospects into clients
  • Stay up to date with financial markets and economic developments.
  • Follow up prospects through periodic calls, timely market updates, and marketing materials.
     

Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B Sales Experience (international payments or banking experience an advantage)
  • Ability to self-generate and convert a pipeline of corporate prospects into customers.
  • Knowledge of the financial markets will be a plus, along with payment process understanding (training will be given)
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong sense of professionalism, tenacity, resilience, and a positive outlook.
  • Confidence to engage with Directors and C-Level Executives of large corporations
  • Experience with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.com, is preferred
  • Ability to work in metrics reporting environment
  • Ability to work independently from home or in the Auckland office
