Responsibilities

As a faculty member, you will:

  • Create and facilitate engaging learning experiences in Photography that align with career pathways.
  • Develop assessments that accurately measure student progress and course outcomes.
  • Apply varied teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles.
  • Support students in and out of the classroom by connecting them with campus services and resources.
  • Be available to teach on a flexible schedule, including afternoons or evenings.

Course Details

  • Course: Beginning and Intermediate Digital Photography
  • Schedule: One course per quarter, typically held in the afternoons or evenings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • A Master's degree in Fine Arts with a 2D emphasis.
    • Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas).
    • Experience or potential in teaching, with a strong commitment to working effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, DSLR operation, and Epson Printers.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Two years of college-level teaching experience.
    • A portfolio showcasing ten personal or professional artworks and ten examples of student work.
