Job description

The Role
We are currently looking to add independent contractors to our Student Success Coaching to provide industry-leading services directly to TimelyCare members to improve student outcomes through a personalized and holistic approach to supporting students in achieving their academic preparedness, financial wellness and career readiness goals.

The role of the Student Success Coach is to provide guidance, mentorship and navigation to resources to help students plot a successful course for their educational journey. Student Success coaches assist with academic planning, goal setting, time management, accessing campus resources, and other strategies to offer timely intervention, connect students to resources, and offer support when needed.

Expected Availability Hours Per Calendar Week
1099 Provider’s are expected to set at least 8 hours of availability per calendar week for TimelyCare members to book visits.

Requirement For Contracted Services
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a social work, psychology, education or applicable field required.  
  • Three (3)+ years experience providing student support services.
  • An evidence-informed approach, free from bias.
  • Experience providing student success coaching on the following topics: time management, goal setting, note taking, budgeting, stress management, career readiness, and more.
  • Access to a computer with webcam, telephone/smartphone, and a stable/reliable internet connection.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with diverse communities.

  • What You'll Do
  • Provide student success coaching to primarily college students through our Student Success Coaching service.
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures and care guidelines for quality service delivery and documentation.
  • Establish and maintain professional rapport that fosters trust and longitudinal student engagement through the success coaching process.
  • Collaborate with students to develop SMART Goals and effective, sustainable strategies that address each member’s unique needs, strengths and barriers.
  • Use coaching strategies that are evidence-based, unbiased, non-judgmental and member-centered. 
  • Develop member-specific student success plans. 
  • Understand the Student Success Coach scope and role in team based care and appropriately refer members when appropriate.
  • Promptly and clearly document each encounter in the Electronic Health Record (platform).

  • Expectations
  • A Success Coach is a trained professional who is a liaison between TimelyCare and the student’s enrolled institution. Their primary objective is to complement and extend existing efforts on campus to support students in achieving their academic preparedness, financial wellness and career readiness goals. They provide guidance, mentorship and navigation to resources to help students plot a successful course for their educational journey.
  • Comfortable with audio and video sessions
  • Ability to establish rapport, build trust, maintain boundaries and engage with members using a friendly and supportive approach
  • Ability to respond with a high level of empathy, and support students with sensitivity and awareness to diverse cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds, values, attitudes, and languages
  • Ability to adapt to the changing needs of members we serve and support patient autonomy in working towards their individual goals
  • Adherence to company policies, procedures and practice guidelines
  • Practice within the scope of the student success coaching role 
  • Submit complete and accurate documentation immediately following each session
  • Always be on time, so the patient never waits
  • Report malpractice issues immediately

  • Compensation
  • $30 per completed coaching session
  • Malpractice insurance is provided
  • This is a remote position. Reviewing candidates across the country. #LI - Remote.
