Sr DDI Architect

What You Will Do:

• Create and operate redundant fault-tolerant DNS/DHCP/IPAM infrastructures
• Merge multiple DNS infrastructures into one redundant fault-tolerant DNS infrastructure
• Establish and enforce namespace policies and domain structure
• Integrate security and access policies into DDI

Required:

• Experience creating and operating redundant fault-tolerant DNS/DHCP/IPAM infrastructures, including establishing and enforcing namespace policies and domain structure and accounting for splitting into internal and external configurations
• Experience merging multiple DNS infrastructures into one redundant fault-tolerant DNS infrastructure
• Experience eliminating IP address overlap and routing issues
• Experience establishing and rigorously enforcing an IP subnet strategy
• Experience with integrating security and access policies into DDI
• Deep experience with BIND
• Ensuring pave/repave automation
• Architect level DNS expertise – IPAM consolidation
• Experience implementing and managing DNS infrastructure using COTS appliances
  • Preferably BlueCat with experience establishing policies for and running: BlueCat Address Manager (BAM) and BlueCat DNS/DHCP Server (BDDS)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift to 15 lbs., as needed
• Must be able to work on-site (corporate/client offices), as needed (not applicable for 100% remote roles)
• Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead.
• Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, the ability to tolerate fluorescent lighting, and the ability to adjust focus.
