Junior Internal IT Specialist
We are looking for a Temp to Hire Internal IT Team Specialist to join our RELEX family in Atlanta, GA. In the capacity of IT Support Specialist, the primary responsibility is to offer initial technical assistance, address user issues, and provide administrative support for office IT equipment. This role falls under the category of first-level support, meaning it doesn't necessitate extensive technical expertise. Collaboration with our IT Operations team is integral, and support for second and third-level issues, which may involve our IT vendors or partners, will be available. Comprehensive training will be provided to equip individuals with the requisite skills. This position serves as a gateway into the IT organization, affording opportunities for skill development and the establishment of a potential career path within the IT field.
Join us as an Internal IT Specialist, and this is some of what you’ll be doing:
Support:
- Monitor and manage the global helpdesk system, prioritizing and resolving issues based on urgency and business needs.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot hardware issues, and coordinate repairs when necessary.
- Configure and manage user accounts, permissions, and access across various systems (Active Directory, Office 365, etc.).
- Resolve technical problems, answer inquiries, and guide users in a clear and concise manner.
- Assist users with software-related inquiries, including login issues, access, and functionality.
Task:
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of IT solutions that meet the needs of a diverse, international workforce.
- The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a global, multi-cultural environment.
- Ensure security through access controls and process Information security tickets
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and experience using ITSM tools is a plus.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the field of Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, or similar field
- It’s okay if they are currently in school
- Experience working with following environments: Mac OS, Windows 10, Azure Active Directory, and Exchange / Office 365.
- You have experience setting up and troubleshooting various technical equipment such as laptops, video conferencing systems, mobile phones, etc.
- 5+ years of experience (flexible)
- Ability to document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Office time 3 days a week
What we consider as an advantage:
- Experience with OKTA, Azure, JAMF, Slack and Jira
- Interest and enthusiasm to solve users’ problems.
- Independent and ability to be proactive
- Cloud/Hosted environment experience preferred.
- You have great communication skills and can explain technical concepts with simple words.
- You are fluent in both verbal and written English.
- You have a good attitude, and you are fun to work with!
- Willing to make minor adjustment to working time because we are in international team
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, global environment.
