A strong challenge🦾

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Field Application Scientist to join our dynamic team. The Field Application Scientist will play a pivotal role in supporting our customers within the drug discovery market by providing technical expertise, training, and support for our biophysical instruments. This individual will work closely with customers to understand their needs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure maximum satisfaction with our products.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to play a key role in a talented and diverse multinational team at a major stage in the company's evolution.
 

In the Commercial team, you will have to 👨🏾‍💻👩🏼‍💻
  • Act as the primary technical contact for customers, providing expert guidance and support on our biophysical instruments' operation, application, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers to ensure effective utilization of our tools.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue opportunities for new business development.
  • Gather customer feedback and communicate insights for product improvement and development to internal teams.
  • Assist in developing various marketing collateral (app notes, tech notes, publications, etc.)
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to effectively position our products in the market.
  • Represent Depixus at scientific conferences, seminars, and trade shows to showcase our technologies and build relationships within the scientific community.
  • Present persuasive magnetic force spectroscopy presentations to customers with selling in mind.

 

    You are our ideal candidate if you have/are 💙
    • PhD in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field preferred
    • Preferred 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical support role within the life sciences or biotechnology industry, but not necessary
    • Strong understanding of biophysical techniques and their applications in drug discovery
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including scientists, researchers, and decision-makers
    • Proven track record of successfully supporting customers and driving sales in a technical capacity
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites, conferences, and other events (approximately 50% travel)


         Preferred Skills

        • Preferred experience working with biophysical instrumentation, such as surface plasmon resonance (SPR) or isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC)
        • Familiarity with the drug discovery process and the pharmaceutical industry landscape
        • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to customer satisfaction
        • Fluency in English required and other european language a plus

        This position is open for our Paris based office or remote from France or the UK - other European countries to be discussed during the recruitment process.
