  • Understand and follow Omni's fire alarm procedures, job scenarios, and services.
  • Ensure the upkeep of preventative maintenance logs, project assignments, and proper scheduling.

Job Description:

Omni Tempe Hotel is seeking a Guestroom Preventative Maintenance Engineer. This role will work with the Engineering team and provide technical assistance throughout the engineering department. Working as a key member of our team, we expect that our chosen individual will be hands-on, highly organized, and highly motivated. This role will be critical to ensuring proper guest satisfaction and quick resolution for any maintenance issues. This position will proactively care for guest rooms as part of our CARE program.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Engineering team with the full upkeep of the preventative maintenance, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.
  • Complete daily work requests and scheduled maintenance in Synergy.
  • Ensure repairs to guest room and public spaces as necessary including but not limited to kitchen, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
  • Respond to guest requests.
  • Must be able to provide assistance to other technicians as necessary.
  • After training, have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
  • After training, have a thorough understanding of Omni's job scenarios.
  • Must be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a team player.
  • Previous maintenance experience within an upscale hotel or resort is required.
  • Minimum of two years hotel and/or commercial building maintenance is preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to follow direction and be able to think on their feet.
  • Must have great communication skills, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Candidate must be organized and manage his/her time as there will be more than one task starting at the same time.
  • Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Painting knowledge is preferred.
  • Must be willing to work based on business levels and occupancy levels.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Candidate may be expected to work outside and may be subject to all weather conditions.
  • Candidate must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Candidate must be able to bend, reach over-head, squat, and kneel for long periods of time.

 

*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
