Overview:

Position: HMDA Specialist, Temporary role 6 months

 

Shift: 7:30AM-4:30PM PST

 

Location: Tustin, CA - open to Remote 

 

Pay: $20/hr

 

Position Summary: The HMDA Specialist will be responsible for the mortgage data that is collected and reported in accordance with improving workflow efficiencies, quality, accuracy and uniformity of residential lending products and services. This position reports to the HMDA Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with monitoring the HMDA Data entry and verify documentation for HMDA Reporting accuracy.
  • Provide guidance to HMDA Manager regarding any operations issues to confirm HMDA information is correctly captured.
  • Assist the Compliance team in relation to various projects with HMDA and Compliance requirements, including assistance with findings related to HMDA from the CFPB and other regulatory agency examinations.
  • Assist with any updates and prepare procedures related to HMDA data gathering and LAR submissions as directed by the HMDA Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Effective communication skills, including written and oral
  • Ability to multi-task and manage workload
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Industry
  • Proficiency in LOS Encompass
  • Initiative and strong work ethic (self-starter); ability to work independently

 

Desired Education / Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in home loans/mortgage lending.

 

Work Authorization: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
