Your missions

This position is remote within the United States.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Sr Software Engineer to join our talented team of software engineers dedicated to delivering best-in-class solutions for our dental customers. This role involves advanced full-stack programming for the maintenance and enhancement of our Revenue Cycle Management domain.

What You Will Do
  • Development of enhancements and elimination of bugs in Henry Schein One software
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings
  • Mentor more junior engineers
  • Solve complex problems using knowledge, passion, and curiosity
  • Craft code that reflects an expert understanding of object-oriented design, refactoring, clean code, clean architecture and solid engineering principles
  • Work with Product and UX Designers to create clean, intuitive user interfaces
  • Partner with our DevOps team to build and support CI/CD pipelines
  • Follow the Test Driven Development (TDD) paradigm when possible and mentor others in its use

Travel/Physical Demands
  • Travel typically less than 10%
  • Office environment with no special physical demands required

Technologies We Use
  • Languages & Frameworks: C# and .Net 4.7 AND C++
  • Frontend: WinForms, WPF, and WinUI
  • Databases: MS SQL Server
  • DevOps & Tools: GitLab, Jira
  • Client-Server Architecture and Windows Native Applications

Qualifications

What You Will Have
  • 5+ years of experience building desktop UI and backend enterprise software utilizing our technology stack
  • Skilled in unit testing
  • Understanding of domain-driven design
  • Experience with cross-team interdependent roadmaps
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoy sharing ideas with, and learning from, other team members
  • Ability to effectively estimate engineering work within 6–12 month timelines

Nice to Haves
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Understanding of Behavioral Driven Development (BDD)
  • Past experience converting legacy applications to a microservice architecture
  • Experience with Revenue Cycle Management software

The posted range for this position is $100,000 - $135,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a bonus target not reflected in the range.
