Responsibilities:

As a Retirement Income Team Leader you will lead Case Managers in addition to supporting your direct leader as needed. These responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing the day-to-day operations, distributing workloads to set the team up for success, performing audits, analyzing data & reporting, joining and leading meetings, leading various new business initiatives, and ensuring motivation and performance levels are maintained. To be successful, you will:

  • Work in a collaborative team environment that nurtures, motivates, participates, and drives positive behavior.
  • Ensure the team is appropriately staffed & coverage is set up for out-of-office situations.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and coaching to team members to promote efficiency and ensure quality of work.
  • Continuously look for ways to expedite and improve our processes and services.
  • Act as a catalyst to foster an environment that values helping others.
  • Listen to team members’ feedback and work to resolve any issues or conflicts that come your way.
  • Identify any issues that could present a problem and provide alternative solutions when necessary.
  • Act as a point of escalation resolving conflict or problems that may arise.
  • Escalate with carriers as necessary.
  • Work with the other New Business leaders to ensure synergy between teams and create an efficient workflow.
  • Build relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Interview, hire and train new employees for your team as needed.
  • Participate in performance evaluation and reward/discipline of the team.
  • Carry a reduced caseload and provide coverage as needed.
  • Review and approve MTO and/or timecards.

Education and Experience:
  • Associate’s degree with major in business or related field, plus two to three years of related experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in current New Business functions
  • Track record of success in fast-paced customer service environment as a case manager
