Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our talented team. You will be expected to own critical system components, lead high-impact initiatives, collaborate closely with product engineering and product management teams, and build best-in-class identity verification products for our customers.
Role and Responsibilities
Partner with our distributed cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Computer Vision, Data Science) to conceptualize and develop new features and products in an agile environment.
Own end-to-end delivery of software components, from development to production, taking responsibility for team features and system components.
Build scalable backend services, producing high-quality results with a direct business impact.
Monitor and improve existing deployments, ensuring continuous product improvement.
Participate in and often lead design and implementation discussions for our backend and client applications.
Participate in the on-call rotation, triaging and resolving production issues, and addressing bugs.
Mentor and guide junior team members while advancing your own career with the support of leadership throughout the business.
Required Qualifications
BS or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience in software engineering with strong backend development expertise.
Interest in our tech stack: Java, Go, SQL/NoSQL, AWS.
Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, architecture, design patterns, and various programming languages.
Understanding of engineering best practices and a proactive approach to improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Comfort driving technical decisions within the Engineering team.
Ability to quickly develop operational knowledge of any new technology or language as needed for the job.
Customer-first mindset with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts across varying levels and functions within the organization.
Comfort working within agile methodologies in a global, cross-functional, collaborative team environment.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong experience with AWS services such as RDS, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools like Datadog.
Strong experience with SDLC tools and processes, including source control, test automation, and build solutions.
Experience with Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Generative AI, or LLM projects, including deploying models in production environments.

Salary Disclosure:
Base Salary range: $160,000 - $190,000
This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job related factors. Socure's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, equity, comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
