We are currently seeking an Analyst Sr. - Distribution Research to join our Research Team based in our New York, New York Headquarters.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the mentorship of the Director of Distribution Research, the Senior Analyst role sits within research to support the distribution and partner marketing teams for US and Canada. Distribution research spans across various platforms of television including linear, SVOD, AVOD, FAST, OTT, social, transactional, and other digital platforms. Seeking a data passionate candidate with experience using various data systems to translate syndicated and internal data sets into actionable insights. Excellent communication, presentation skills and enthusiasm for the media industry are a must. This individual will need to be organized, detail oriented and have the ability to work cross functionally with internal stakeholders to understand their clients needs and challenges.   

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, analyze, and distribute various partner’s viewership performance analysis on a monthly basis for all stakeholders within the larger Distribution sales team which would include viewership performance trends/highlights across linear and digital audience metrics for our partners. 

  • Work with the Director of Research to maintain and update our partner’s unique offers, promotions, free previews and special placements in order to provide a view of their performance.    

  • Clearly communicate data and produce analysis for daily ad hoc requests from various key stakeholders of the Distribution team which includes the deal, marketing, content strategy, finance, and the product teams 

  • Produce various tracking, trending, and competitive performance reports.  

  • Stay on top of industry news and trends across the media landscape to help provide the Distribution stakeholders with actionable insights.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience

  • Basic knowledge of Media Math (Preferably Nielsen metrics).  

  • Familiar with industry software and metrics (i.e. Nielsen, GFK/MRI, YouGov). 

  • Creativity and Passion about analytics and finding insights. 

  • Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills are essential. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Technical

  • Advanced Excel Skills a must (comfortable with pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, macros, etc.) 

  • Familiar with other visualization tools such as Powerpoint is a plus. 

  • Must be comfortable analyzing large data sets to distill actionable insights. 

  • Experience with data analysis tools beyond Excel a plus

The base compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience.
