Software Engineer - Remote

Overview:

ISHPI supports the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) by developing, modernizing, and enhancing its enterprise applications. We provide sustainment services by maintaining, securing, and supporting the applications and migrating them to the DMDC cloud environment.

• You will analyze requirements and designs and implement software components during sustainment and cloud migration activities
• You will implement changes to migrate legacy applications and tools to use current enterprise technologies
• You will implement and support remediation of any identified security vulnerabilities
• You will follow an agile development methodology
• You will create and maintain required project, technical, and user documentation
• You will support release and testing activities as needed
• You will ensure that quality and security is built into the applications throughout the SDLC

Requirements (education/experience/certifications):

• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to pass a Government background investigation for position of trust
• 3+ years of relevant software development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Within 2 months of hire, meet IAT-I requirements or higher as specified in DoD 8570.01-M (one of the following security certifications, or higher: A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, or SSCP)
• Experience in design, development, and sustainment of enterprise applications with a Java-based technology stack

 Preferences (education/experience/certifications):

• Experience with software projects for U.S. Federal government/DoD
• Experience with cloud environments and containerization
• Experience with Log4j 2, Kubernetes, and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Prior DMDC experience strongly preferred

 Specific technologies in use:

• Java, Oracle WebLogic, Angular, Spring, JPA, Oracle 12c RDBMS
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, REST, Web Services, Node.js
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Log4j 2, Kubernetes

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $107,000. Please note that any salary information disclosed is a general guideline only. Ishpi considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
