We are expanding our Circular Economy Software R&D Team at NXP Gratkorn!

Our Department

The Circular Economy team is focusing on Sub-GHz Radio solutions for Smart Meter and Asset Tracking using state of the art wireless protocols like Amazon Sidewalk, Matter, Sigfox, Zigbee and many more.

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Architect specifying the architecture and developing the next generation of our products.

In this role you will have a close collaboration with our Hardware team to define the SW-Interfaces for the future Hard-/Software Co-Design of our optimized products.

You are part of an experienced team of Software Engineers and Architects, with broad technical  background in software development and validation.  You will act as a part of an international team.

Your Responsibilities

You will be integrated in a team of software, hardware and validation experts and work together with them on developing the next generation of our product portfolio.

Your responsibilities will be

  • Definition, Implementation and Validation of specified Software architectures

  • Technical Leadership of a distributed Software Development team

  • Definition of SW Interfaces for Hard-/Software Co-Design

  • Define, prioritize and high level estimate of Software Work-Packages

  • Requirements Management

  • Support of Project Planning

  • Internal Stakeholder Management

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in Software Engineering or Electronic Engineering, Computer science, or similar, with focus on Embedded Software and/or signal processing

  • Several years in experience in SW architecture specification and Embedded Software Development on microcontrollers in C/C++ and scripting languages

  • Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures (ARM, etc. ), signal processing and real-time operating systems

  • Technical Leadership experience

  • Familiar with Requirements Management

  • Strong communication skills for aligning with peers

  • Highly independent working

  • Familiar with agile Software Development

  • Open-minded and self-motivated Team Player

  • Fluent English skills
