Job Description:

Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Sys Ops II Team Manager on our Cloud Services Team. You will lead a team of highly skilled individuals who administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Applied SaaS solutions. Cloud Services provides hosting of our suite of product solutions, from agency management systems to business intelligence, mobile applications to insurance quoting, and rating for 160,000+ end users.

This position consists of Friday - Monday 10 hour shifts

 

What You'll Do

  • Lead a team of highly skilled technicians who administer Applied Software hosted on Cloud Systems for 160,000+ end-users
  • Coach and lead team to optimal productivity while ensuring operational efficiency, capacity planning, and resource forecasting
  • Liaise with Cloud and Client Experience leadership to implement systems and processes that provide the best possible experience for our clients
  • Create highly effective, repeatable processes and workflows to ensure the stability and uptime of the production Cloud Systems, servicing of customer requests, and secure handling of Cloud customer data, with a hyper focus on continual improvement
  • Represent Cloud System Operations in go -to -market product release planning to ensure that Cloud Services are aligned with and prepared to support new product releases
  • Ensure consistent team compliance with all security protocols and defined procedures as required to successfully achieve security compliance certifications
  • Provide advanced technical assistance and escalation for weekend change implementations as needed (On - call rotation for weekend escalations)
  • Manage, coach, develop, and mentor staff

What You’ll Need to Succeed
We’re looking for someone who:

  • Ability to work 100% remotely, or from an Applied Systems office.

Your experience should include some or all of the following:

  • 5+ years of technical support experience in a Windows domain environment, including troubleshooting simple to complex software/hardware issues
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems
  • 2+ years of Management experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, Production service delivery role
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership skills
