Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement effective IT asset management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate tracking, inventory management, and optimization of IT assets.
  • Conduct regular IT asset audits and assessments to identify potential risks, compliance issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all hardware, software, licenses, and associated documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date asset data.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT teams, procurement, finance, and vendors, to manage the acquisition, deployment, and retirement of IT assets.
  • Monitor and track software licenses, maintenance agreements, and service contracts to ensure compliance with licensing terms and optimize software usage.
  • Provide recommendations on IT asset procurement, disposal, and contract renewals based on analysis and evaluations of product usage and vendors' offerings.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements within the IT asset lifecycle, such as standardization, license consolidation, and elimination of redundant assets.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and service level agreements.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in IT asset management to provide recommendations that enhance the organization's overall IT strategy.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of IT asset management concepts, methodologies, and industry standards.

  • Experience in working with Incident / Service Requests.
  • Basic experience in desktop support and operations, including PC and User support.
  • Basic experience in troubleshooting PC OS, Software, and PC accessories
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Basic Knowledge of ITIL processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • Proficient in using IT asset management tools and software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze asset data, identify patterns, and recommend optimizations.
  • Solid understanding of IT procurement processes and contract management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
