About This Position:
The Managed Storage Senior role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing storage solutions using Pure Storage and HPE Alletra MP, ensuring the availability and reliability of client storage. This role will report to the Manager, Managed Protection, and is 100% remote.
An ideal candidate will be able to:
· Effectively design, deploy, and manage storage solutions for clients
· Monitor and optimize storage performance to ensure high availability and reliability
· Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and patching of storage systems
· Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to other engineers
· Solve highly complex engineering challenges for the team while utilizing all levels of technical resources
· Rapidly and effectively execute deployment of products and solutions
· Lead a growing team of engineers in excellence and professionalism
· Act as a liaison to the broader companywide practice group in service development and ongoing refinement
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform engineering tasks in support of data protection servicesExperience recovering from storage snapshots and maintaining storage immutabilityAssist in and consult on client satisfaction escalations and incidentsCoordinate team technical escalations for clients, vendors, and team membersDraft, maintain, and evolve client and product documentationInstall, configure, and audit data protection platforms and applicationsReview and consult on products, solutions, and client change control requestsRegularly perform team trainings on products and servicesCollaborate on practice group operations, best practices, and service delivery methodologiesCoordinate and facilitate knowledge sharing to and from the practice group Understand the client’s end goals and help create a plan to achieve themPerform other tasks as needed to support Data Protection Practice Group initiatives Participate in an on-call rotationCommunicate effectively in any form or mediumPreferred SkillsDemonstrated practical expertise in storage solutions, particularly Pure Storage and HPE Alletra MP Consultative knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions like Cohesity and RubrikManage dynamic and competitive prioritiesOrganize complex technical tasks for multiple clients simultaneouslyKnowledge of information technology and managed services best practicesExperience with service delivery in a managed services practice organizationExperience with server, network, storage, and/or security supportPractical application of InfoSec principlesQualifications7-10 years of storage and disaster recovery experienceBachelor’s degree in information technology, related field, or equivalent work historyPure Storage, HPE Storage, Cohesity, and Rubrik experience highly desiredIndustry certifications in Microsoft, Cohesity, and VMware desiredExperience working for and within IT for various industries including the legal industryExperience in large-scale service delivery
