About the Role:
As a Part-Time Facility Security Officer (FSO) at Packaged Agile, you will play a vital role in ensuring the company’s compliance with government security regulations, particularly those outlined in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). You will handle security clearances, manage classified information, and oversee the company's security policies. This part-time role requires approximately 40-60 hours per month, with flexible working hours to accommodate your schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer personnel security clearances (e.g., SF-86, e-QIP) and maintain personnel security records.
  • Manage and update the company’s facility clearance (FCL) status.
  • Conduct security training and briefings for staff on topics such as the protection of classified information and annual refresher training.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure the proper handling of classified materials.
  • Coordinate and facilitate security inspections, audits, and government security visits.
  • Investigate and report security violations, preparing incident reports when necessary.
  • Support the company’s Insider Threat Program and assist with the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain effective relationships with government agencies regarding security matters.

  • Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active or current FSO certification or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
  • Familiarity with NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and the security clearance process.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel security administration, including e-QIP and JPAS/DISS.
  • Ability to work independently and manage sensitive, confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience as an FSO or in a similar security-related role.
