Description

The Physician Recruiter is responsible for sourcing and screening Physicians the company needs by using creative recruiting methods to meet specific company objectives.

 

Roles:

 

  • Partners with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
  • Leverages knowledge of traditional and modern recruiting techniques to improve time-to-hire and ensure an outstanding candidate experience.
  • Serves as recruiting expert of Physician talent as independent contractors or employees as needed while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal/state laws and regulations covering worker classification.
  • Partners with other members of the Human Resources team and Provider Relations team to ensure onboarding and credentialing of Physician talent.


Major Responsibilities or Assigned Duties:



  • Screens resumes or curriculum vitae, interviews candidates, provides candidates with both written and verbal details pertaining to job specifics, administers appropriate assessments if applicable, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire), delivers employment offers for exempt and nonexempt position openings, and submits candidate for reference/background checking and credentialing as applicable.
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as partnering with physician-sourcing database organizations and temporary staffing agencies, career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Develops advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
  • Track return on investment for all sourcing strategies utilized and recommend improvements to strategy based on trends.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with employment requirements (i.e., Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA),
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, noncompete agreements).
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including EEOC compliance, regarding the hiring process.
  • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Ensure timely updates and maintain open communication with the Vice President of Human Resources and Director of Provider Relations.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of full time, progressive Physician Recruiter recruiting experience.


Education:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and/or Society for Human Resources-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred


Work Environment:

Ability to sit at a desk, utilize a computer, telephone, and other basic office equipment is required. This role is designed to be a remote position (work-from-home).
