Medical Interpreter (Japanese & English)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced medical interpreter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate and professional consecutive interpretation services between Japanese and English in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate effective communication between Japanese-speaking patients and English-speaking medical staff

- Interpret medical terminology, instructions, and conversations accurately and confidentially

- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality

- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure clear understanding of medical information

Requirements:

- Native-level proficiency in Japanese and proficient English language skills

- Minimum 3 years of prior experience in medical consecutive interpretation

- Up-to-date HIPAA certification (2024)

- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Working Hours:

- 4 hours daily between 8 AM and 5 PM EST
