Job Summary:

As a Sales Commission Analyst, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of sales commission plans, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and transparency. You will collaborate closely with the sales and finance teams to administer commission plans. This position will be responsible for analysis of commission data, auditing, and supporting producer compensation administration.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Precisely calculate and validate commission earnings based on established criteria.
  • Swiftly address and resolve commission-related inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Drive alignment amongst cross-functional stakeholders and project manage timely assignment of commissions calculation inputs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate commission payments.
  • Complete a monthly commission calculation to be provided to Finance to accrue the commissions.
  • Monitor and manage sales representative draw balances to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Analyze sales performance data to provide actionable insights for enhancing commission plans.
  • Create informative reports and dashboards to track sales performance and commission payout trends.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices regarding sales compensation.
  • Ensure commission plans comply with legal and company standards.
  • Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Business Unit teams to address commission-related challenges and provide expertise on compensation matters.
  • Support sales compensation plans, policies, and processes that support our sales objectives
  • Review existing methods of gathering information and performing analysis and propose opportunities for improvement and enhancement.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement, development, and automation of sales commissions process.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, including Excel, Salesforce, or a similar CRM software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with sales representatives and cross-functional teams.
  • A sharp eye for detail to ensure accuracy in commission calculations and documentation.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve commission-related issues and discrepancies.
  • Strong analytical skills to extract insights from sales data and recommend improvements.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and evolving sales strategies.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in compensation administration.
  • Results-oriented, self-starter, organized, team-focused, and a strong work ethic, leveraging relationships to ensure deadlines are met.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of either data analysis, Consulting, Investment Banking, Sales Operations, Sales Compensation or Commissions experience. Experience in a growth technology company is a plus.
  • Familiarity with commission management software is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations related to compensation is beneficial.
