The General Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with the organization’s accounting standards.  Additionally, this position will lead General Accounting Specialists.

What does a day in the life as a General Accounting Supervisor look like?
  • Oversee the day-to-day financial activities of the organization
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Prepare monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives, including ‘Flux analysis’ variance reports
  • Oversee the reconciliation of accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain a well-organized record of financial transactions and supporting documentation
  • Lead and mentor a team of general accounting specialists by fostering a collaborative environment and providing professional development to all team members
  • Ensure compliance with the organization’s accounting standards, policies, and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits as needed
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes for increased efficiency
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings
  • Ensure the collection of financial report needs and systems for the organization
  • Create processes and procedures that ensures alignment of the organization’s accounting books to IFRSs and US GAAP
  • Handles BIR and all tax-related compliance and investigations; prepare timely and accurate tax filing and remittance of tax obligation
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures
  • Meets or exceeds performance targets for related KPI’s Continuously improves knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules
  • Collaborates with other departments as needed to resolve customer issues
  • Maintains a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • What are the required qualifications for a General Accounting Supervisor?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
  • 4+ years of experience in a Accounting and Bookkeeping
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Solid understanding and ability to execute financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in using computers and various software applications
  • CPA is a plus
