About the role

Our growing team is looking for a Architect – Security!

As a Security Architect, reporting to the Security Architect Manager, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing the security solutions for the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that systems, networks, and applications are secure while meeting regulatory and operational requirements. You will work closely with different teams to integrate effective security controls throughout the systems' lifecycle.

What you’ll do:

  • Security architecture design: contribute to the creation and improvement of security architecture practices, processes, governance and compliance. Develop and maintain security architecture aligned with business strategies and compliance requirements.

  • Contribute to the definition and evolution of the overall security architecture according to the long-term business strategy and considering the diversity of Intact's activities, the need to comply with security requirements information, long-term business plan scenarios, obsolescence of critical applications and the evolution of IT solution offerings from different sources.

  • Risk analysis: identify and assess security risks related to technology projects and propose appropriate solutions to mitigate these risks.

  • Security integration: collaborate with technical teams to integrate security controls into systems, networks, and applications from the design phase.

  • Technology watch: monitor emerging security trends and threats and recommend updates or improvements to the existing security architecture.

  • Compliance and regulation: ensure security architectures comply with current standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, …). Define and ensure compliance with governance and compliance standards and policies.

  • Documentation: create and maintain security architecture documentation, update and maintain them, including data flow diagrams, security controls, and risk assessments.

  • Consultation and support: provide technical advice and support to project teams to integrate security practices into development and operations.

  • Incident management: participate in the investigation of security incidents and work with incident response teams to enhance existing controls.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • Minimum of proven 5 years of knowledge and experience in security architecture, with a strong understanding of network, application, and infrastructure security concepts.

  • Certifications: certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or TOGAF are highly desirable.

  • Technical Skills: expertise in security technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, identity and access management, cryptography, etc.) and a strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001.

  • Analytical skills: ability to assess security risks and design practical solutions to mitigate them.

  • Focused on business value and positive company-wide outcomes.

  • Technical team player and mentor.

  • Communication skills: excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into terms understandable by non-technical stakeholders.

  • Teamwork: ability to work collaboratively with diverse technical and non-technical teams to achieve security objectives.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
