We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Equity Investment Analyst to the managed equity portfolios by researching investment ideas and monitoring current investments. The Analyst will educate advisors and clients on the WEAS investment philosophy. (This is a remote opportunity.)
The salary target for this role is $100,000.00 - $110,000.00; this position is eligible for corporate bonus.
We select our initial compensation target using national compensation survey data. When we make an offer, we then factor in things like tenure, performance, and geographic location to come up with the most accurate numbers. Primary Job Functions
Conducts due diligence on current and prospective investments to determine if individual stocks meet expectations for inclusion in current portfolio.
Schedule, track, and participate in due diligence of investments
Perform bottom-up research on publicly traded companies for potential inclusion in managed strategies
Listen to and document earnings calls and corporate announcements
Model corporate fundamentals and develop return expectations
Stay informed about market trends, opportunities, and risks
Contributes to the construction and management of portfolios
Analyze risks, exposures, and expected return to help PM make portfolio changes
Manage risks at individual security and portfolio levels in line with strategy tolerances
Provides investment information to advisory teams so they can deliver relevant information to clients and prospects
Answer FA and client questions regarding portfolios and market events
Produce tools that assist with client retention and acquisition (e.g., outside portfolio reviews, Morningstar model summaries)
Develop timely communications on capital market events
Provide performance information
Education/Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in business; finance, economics or related- preferred.
2-4 years in Financial Services (a focus on equity markets and fundamental equity research is a plus).
CFA or progress towards is plus.
Commits to high standards of ethical behavior; demonstrates trustworthiness,
Detail oriented; ability to prioritize work flow and projects; able to work with deadlines and be flexible
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with Bloomberg and/or FactSet
Ability to work as a Team Member; positive solution-focused attitude.
