About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Specialist (Deputy Chief of Staff) to join the business, a role at the crossroads between strategy, execution, and consulting.
The Delivery Specialist’s mission is to support the Delivery Manager France (Chief of Staff) in the accomplishment of all his/her tasks:
- Project framing and monitoring for most part of France project portfolio
- Organization efficiency/ transformation
- Communication enhancement
- Partner of the Delivery Manager France to support the Managing Director France in strategic decision making
The position will have direct contacts with all layers of the organization: Country, Region, Division and even Group.
Responsibilities include (but not limited):
Project framing and monitoring:
- Support project manager in framing / pivot project scope and governance
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans
- Conduct regular status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders
Organization efficiency and productivity:
- Take part in the review, design, and execution on improvements to org structure (target operating model)
- Contribute to the improvement of current processes and coordination of organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity (Capex mgmt., HR plan)
Communication enhancement:
- Facilitate a seamless and effective communication between the different stakeholders
- Prepare and present project reports, documentation, and status updates
- Support the Delivery Manager France in creating visibility and overpassing roadblocks in project implementation, facilitating exchange across functional and business units to address and solve issues
Leadership & Support to Managing Director France
- Partnering with the Delivery Manager France, the Delivery Specialist contribute to the overall business development of the country embedding the DS Smith business vision, culture and values in the organization
About you
Education & Certifications:
- Education at Master’s level or equivalent – preferably with business and/or technical background
Job specific requirements:
- Proactive, strategic and analytical mind set, result-oriented, accountable, with strong problem-solving skills
- Very strong business understanding and acumen
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Leadership skills
- Comprehensive and highly advanced project/program management skills
- Fluent in English
Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in a top tier consulting firm
- Proven ability to deal with stakeholders on senior management level and towards customers
- Experience from transformation projects – demonstrated results from independently driving and implementing organizational transformations
