At Rooser, we’re on a mission to eliminate the world’s seafood waste. For us, this means creating transparency and certainty in what is an incredibly tough industry.
We’re building the world’s first seafood trading platform dedicated to connecting seafood processors with wholesalers.
We want to eradicate the fragmented processes and volatility that plague the industry & get seafood flowing more efficiently through the supply chain. As a perishable product, increased speed means longer shelf life and, ultimately, less waste.
Sounds simple, but this is no small feat.

🧭 The Role
We’re looking for a driven Account Executive to join our commercial team. You will drive sales and retention for a portfolio of accounts. Our buyers (typically wholesale businesses) come to our platform to compare offers and buy seafood. Your role is to ensure that they go from new customers to established accounts who purchase from the platform autonomously every day.
🚢 What will you be doing day to day?
Sales and Retention: Achieve sales and retention targets for a portfolio of new customers.
Daily engagement with customers: Understand their needs, represent the marketplace and provide feedback to the business.
Multichannel Communication: Utilise phone, email, and WhatsApp to communicate with customers in France and Belgium.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues such as changes to orders or delivery delays due to customs, providing solutions and explanations to buyers.
Quick Relationship Building: Rapidly develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction and business growth.

You have previous sales experience working with SMB or mid-market clients.
You enjoy working towards ambitious targets and understand the activity required to reach these goals.
You have a high level of resilience to handle pressure and maintain a positive demeanour. Our customers operate at a fast pace, and you need to be able to match it!
You're an excellent communicator in English and French.
You can swiftly develop relationships and understand customer needs in.

You prefer to work in structured, long-term sales processes rather than fast-paced and dynamic environments.
You focus solely on your own targets and don’t enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues in other teams to ensure a great customer experience.
You dislike ambiguity and less predictable environments. We are building a tech product in an extremely dynamic and competitive industry. Seafood supply and price fluctuate frequently, you need to be ready to meet these demands and help to solve challenges for our customers.
