Procurement Officer

Position Available: Procurement Officer 
Location: Remote; Sri Lanka
Hours: Full-time - 5:30am - 1:30pm, IST Colombo time

Your main responsibilities & experience:

• Procurement Strategy & Planning: Having over 3 years experience in procurement, you are required to develop & implement procurement strategies to align with Company objectives. You are well experienced to plan & forecast procurement needs based on business requirements.
• Supplier & Contract Management: You’ve worked with large organisations and understand supplier management to build and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor contract performance and resolve any issues on time.
• Experience in ERP Systems: Effective use of the ERP system, with particular focus on material requirements planning and inventory control. Work Closely with other divisions to understand their needs & timely delivery
• Sourcing & Purchasing: You are responsible to research and identify quality suppliers and market rates. Prepare and issue requests for quotations, tenders. Evaluate bids and make recommendations to selected suppliers/ contractors.

What your profile will look like:

• Must have - strong communication skills: Fluent written & oral English skills is a must.
• Must have - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Highly desirable - Professional qualification in Supply Chain or Procurement
• Must have - minimum 3+ years experience: Demonstrable experience as a Procurement Officer  in a service oriented industry is a must.
• Highly desirable - Large ERP experience: Netsuite, SAP, Concur and other large company ERP experience is highly desirable.
