Responsibilities of the Shopify Web Developer:
- Coding Shopify Projects:
- Develop Custom Themes:
- Create and implement custom themes using Shopify’s latest technology stack.
- Evaluate and Maintain 3rd Party Apps:
- Assess and manage third-party Shopify apps integrated into the platform to ensure compatibility and performance.
- Technical Leadership:
- Act as the technical lead for the Shopify platform, providing guidance on best practices, use cases, features, and limitations.
- Feasibility Checks:
- Review and assess design specifications to determine what is feasible within the Shopify environment.
- Troubleshooting:
- Identify and resolve bugs or issues as they arise, and develop plans for their resolution.
- Site Content Updates:
- Update site content and products to align with new initiatives, including updating images, products, blogs, posts, and pages across the Shopify store.
- Feature Translation:
- Convert technical requirements and design mockups into functional website features.
- Code and Documentation Maintenance:
- Develop and maintain reusable code and documentation for future use, optimization, and scalability.
- Team Coordination:
- Work effectively with designers, project managers, clients, and other team members to achieve project goals.
- Lead and participate in technical discoveries, and clearly communicate solutions and technical concepts to the team.
- Provide clear documentation and explanations of technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Deliverables:
- Page Building:
- Develop and implement custom landing pages as required.
- Custom Shopify Builds:
- Complete full Shopify builds, including custom themes and developments.
- Skill Requirement (MUST HAVE):
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience developing on the Shopify platform, including proficiency with Liquid and the Shopify API.

- HTML/CSS: Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS, including the ability to match design prototypes, execute responsive web design techniques, and experience with CSS frameworks like Tailwind.
- WCAG ADA Accessibility Guidelines: Knowledgeable and experienced with WCAG ADA accessibility guidelines (compliance/best practices).
- Shopify Platform: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience developing on the Shopify platform, including proficiency with Liquid and the Shopify API.
- Preferred Skills:
- WordPress Development: Experience with WordPress development is a plus.
- Custom Shopify App Development: Experience with custom Shopify app development is a bonus.
- Quality Control: Knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance procedures, practices, and tools.
