Pay Range: $50.00 To 60.00 Hourly

Job Summary

As a Psychotherapist, you will play a vital part in our clinics by providing essential support through a combination of therapeutic service and administrative duties. Your expertise and contributions are instrumental in improving the mental health and well-being of patients, enhancing overall patient care and satisfaction, and promoting the clinic's reputation as a comprehensive healthcare provider.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, utilizing various methods such as interviews with patients, their families, and other individuals involved in their care.
  • Based on the specific needs of each patient and the extent of their emotional, social, cognitive, developmental, or behavioral disorders, you will develop individualized treatment plans.
  • When necessary, you will collaborate with our in-house Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide medication management consultations.
  • Crisis intervention will be a part of your responsibilities, ensuring the well-being of patients in critical situations.
  • Accurate maintenance of patient and clinical records, including details of treatment provided and medication administered, will be essential.
  • To stay updated with professional knowledge, you will actively engage in continuous learning activities such as reading publications, attending educational conferences, and networking with peers. Adhering to ethical and legal policies, procedures, and standards will be paramount in all aspects of your work.
  • Additionally, you may need to conduct both virtual and office visits as required to meet the needs of patients.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master or Doctorate degree holder (in a mental health field, such as social work, counseling, marriage, and family therapy, or mental health counseling)
  • Completion of all training required for NYS registration including BLS, ACLS, and Infection Control Training 
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA Compliance and at least 1 year of experience working as a Licensed Therapist
  • Preferably fully licensed by New York State to provide counseling (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC)
  • Additional certifications preferred but not required: ABA, DBT, CBT, EMDR
  • Experience in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and bilingual skills (Spanish and English) are preferred but not required
  • Excels in interdisciplinary teamwork, supporting our mission through clear, thoughtful communication and respectful interactions.
