Job Description:

The Vice President of Newsletters & Programming is an experienced and innovative editorial leader skilled at and passionate about content creation, team building and launching and nurturing new editorial products! Reporting directly to the Chief Content Officer, this role will be pivotal in shaping the voice of our company, driving engagement, and providing valuable content to millions of technology professionals around the world.

What you’ll do:

  • Content Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy for our newsletters and on-site programming, aligned with our business goals and audience needs

  • Editorial Planning: Create and manage an editorial calendar, ensuring timely and consistent delivery of high-quality content

  • Audience Engagement: Utilize data and feedback to understand the needs and preferences of our readers, and tailor content to increase engagement and retention

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure content aligns with broader company initiatives and drives business growth.

  • Launch and grow newsletter products and programming content to drive engagement

  • Proven track record of recruiting, building and managing talented teams of creative people

  • Empathetically lead by leveraging data, experience, and sound judgment to solve complex problems and rally support for solutions

  • Translate company-level business objectives into team-level key results and motivate a team to deliver

  • An effective communicator and collaborator who can rally support and inspire cross-functional teams

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Ability to lead creative people

  • Skilled at launching and growing new products and initiatives, including recruiting and building teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and optimizing using data

Requirements:

  • Experience leading teams of creative people

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing newsletter launches

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making

  • Presentation experience at the executive and/or conference level

  • Experience building and running large, geographically distributed teams

  • Extensive experience managing multiple complex projects

  • Strong understanding of technical trends and players

  • Requires a minimum of 15 years of related or equivalent experience; or 8+ years and an advanced degree

  • Requires having been a people leader in a senior leader capacity

Travel Requirements:

While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $196,600 - $242,700 USD. Pluralsight's pay ranges vary based on work location. Talent Acquisition can share more detail during the hiring process when applicable. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. In addition to the base salary, this role may also be eligible for benefits and bonuses. Applications must be submitted within 90 days after the initial posting date to be considered.
