Your missions

Position Available: Bank Reconciliation Officer  
Location: Remote; Sri Lanka
Hours: Full-time - 5:30am - 1:30pm, IST Colombo time

Are you an experienced Bank Reconciliation officer, seeking an exciting opportunity to progress your career in a large organisation whilst advancing your Australian experience? We are hiring this role to join our growing family at Elephant Teams.

Your main responsibilities & experience:

  • Bank Reconciliation & Transaction Verification: You will be responsible to perform daily, weekly or monthly reconciliations of bank & credit card statements with company financial records and match these to the general ledger. You are required to identify & investigate discrepancies and variances and report to the management team.
  • Working with large company ERP systems: You’ve worked with a large volume of AP/AR transactions, including using ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP, and can demonstrate your ability to navigate these platforms with ease. You have worked with expense management systems such as Concur, and understand how they integrate with large organisations.
  • Compliance : Ensuring the reconciliation process comply with company policies and Australian Financial Regulations. Assist Internal & external auditors with necessary documents & validations.
  • End of Month Tasks: You have experience dealing with multiple entities and organising your work around a high volume reporting and a rigorous month end close process. You are constantly looking for ways to work faster and more efficiently as the business and volume of transactions grow.

What your profile will look like:

  • Must have - strong communication skills: Fluent written & oral English skills is a must.
  • Must have - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Highly desirable - Professional accounting qualification ( CIMA/ ACCA)
  • Must have - minimum 3+ years experience: Demonstrable experience as a Bank reconciliation officer in a service oriented industry is a must.
  • Highly desirable - Large ERP experience: Netsuite, SAP, Concur and other large Company ERP expereince is highly desirable.
