Job description

We are currently seeking a Public Relations Account Supervisor to lead accounts on media and influencer relations, thought leadership and overall communications strategy. Account Supervisors produce flawless, client-ready work and results that come from a deep-seeded understanding of the agency, the client, and the media earned through years of exposure to the industry.  Account Supervisors ensure that  vital resources are distributed effectively while navigating and directing the flow of information, resources, and strategy  between junior team members and top executives. Senior management is 100% confident in their ability to have success in a variety of account related situations, and are the agency go-to for specific verticals or PR specialties. The final say on a group of accounts, Supervisors are capable of maintaining that same level of high quality work across accounts they directly and indirectly manage. AS’s know not only how to beautifully navigate difficult client situations, but when to push back on the client, leaning on their their  knowledge of PR, the  landscape, the industry/vertical, and client’s strategy to effectively prove their point. They have a proven track record of training entry-level team members and more junior employees organically seek them out for advice and help. Highly perceptive, adaptable and flexible, AS’s bounce daily between Account Executive level and Director level tasks & responsibilities with equal effort and ability. The agency is headquartered out of Miami, FL- but this is a fully "Work-From-Anywhere" position & currently open to all candidates in the US.

Your skills/attributes:

  • You are a thoughtful delegator- you know how & what to hand to a teammate, and what to tackle on your own.

Some advice for how to be successful:

We hire, promote and fire people based on these values. They act as a compass for all communications and decision making.

  • Think Like An Entrepreneur: Know the details of our business and understand how you impact our culture, work and financial success.
  • Adopt a Growth Mindset: Don’t settle or become complacent. Grow by taking advantage of opportunities to do work outside your comfort zone.
  • Take Initiative: Do not wait for someone to tell you what to do. Act in the absence of specific direction. Be proactive and decisive.
  • Act with Purpose: Focus on impact above all else. Know the intended result, find the most efficient path, and get shit done.
  • Communicate Assertively: Proactively tackle difficult conversations with empathy and confidence. Give and request feedback in real-time with helpful intent.
  • Inspire Accountability: Embrace ownership of every task. Surface your mistakes. Share what you learn and use it to improve. Others will do the same.
Other things we think would be cool if you could do:
  • Run a 5k in under 25 minutes
    • We have 2 or 3 people that can do this, but we have a couple Ironman athletes (including Max), a few marathoners and a mountain biker who does 80+ mile races. Lots of yogis too.
  • Solve a Rubik's cube in under a minute
    • We had an intern that could and it was mind-blowing.
  • Compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
    • She competed in the Pan-American Championship, largest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament in North America, she's also one of our new Account Coordinators.
  • Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro
    • Our Director of Operations did this, only blacked-out from high altitude and oxygen deprivation once. Nailed it.
  • Be a world champion in anything
    • Youngest Yo-Yo World Champion in history worked with us for years.
  • Start your own business
    • Max did...and one guy owns his own photography business...the rest of us are working on it.
  • A snake shot (Foosball)
    • Google it. No spinning.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of agency experience- ideally in a leadership role
  • Understanding of product launches, brand storytelling, and media and influencer relations strategies
  • Understanding of digital/new media marketing strategies
  • Expert in persuasive writing and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
