Job Title: Video Editor (User-Generated Content for Ads)

Location: Remote

Work Shift: 40 hrs/week; Full-time

Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented Video Editor (User-Generated Content for Ads) with a passion for creating and editing user-generated content (UGC) specifically for ad campaigns on Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and TikTok. The ideal candidate will have expertise in producing fast-paced, engaging videos that utilize quick cuts, text overlays, transitions, and attention-grabbing visual effects. You will collaborate closely with our creative and marketing teams to ensure that content supports advertising goals and remains on brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and produce high-quality UGC videos for Meta and TikTok ads.
  • Implement fast cuts, dynamic transitions, text overlays, and effects to enhance viewer engagement.
  • Ensure all videos are optimized for platform specifications, including aspect ratios, durations, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to align video content with ad strategies, messaging, and branding guidelines.
  • Keep up with current trends in social media content creation, particularly on Meta and TikTok, to ensure ads remain fresh and engaging.
  • Edit content with mobile users in mind, optimizing for vertical viewing and short-form consumption.
  • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in video editing, with a focus on user-generated content or social media advertising.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and TikTok ad formats, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging, fast-paced videos with effective use of quick cuts, transitions, and text overlays to grab attention within the first few seconds.
  • Experience editing for vertical formats and optimizing for mobile platforms.
  • Knowledge of storytelling techniques that can be applied to short-form videos to capture and retain audience attention.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to ensure consistent quality and branding across all video outputs.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the creative, marketing, and client teams.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to propose new ideas for video styles and content based on platform trends and performance data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with e-commerce brands or performance marketing agencies.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics, basic animation, and color grading.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and how video performance impacts ad success.
  • Ability to work with user feedback and adapt videos based on performance metrics and insights.

Nice to Have:
