Job description

 

We are looking for a talented Junior Legal Counsel to assist us in handling commercial and employment contracts and addressing various legal matters. We expect the successful candidate to consistently deliver professional excellence and uphold integrity throughout their work.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Draft and negotiate contracts governed by various jurisdictions
  • Prepare and negotiate term sheets (letters of intent) and produce contracts based on agreed terms
  • Own the contract formation process from drafting to closing, maintaining a record of all negotiation stages
  • Develop and maintain a contract playbook to standardize processes and improve efficiency
  • Guide commercial teams on the use of standard form documents and templates
  • Maintain and organize contract repository, power of attorney database, and project workspaces (e.g., Notion, Confluence, etc.)
  • Prepare management reports regarding contracts and project status
  • Perform a second-pair-of-eyes review of Legal and Compliance department documentation
  • All pre-agreed legal steps on business processes are completed on time with internal and external filings made in full
  • Build confidence within business and other teams about quality and level of internal legal services

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law
  • Experience in a corporate secretarial or related function, preferably managing multiple jurisdictions or experience in an international consultancy firm
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, legal, and regulatory frameworks across different jurisdictions (common law and continental law)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent data organization and data management skills, ensuring that all information is correctly classified and kept up-to-date
