Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Vice President of Consultant Relations at Rightway will be instrumental in expanding and deepening our relationships with key consultants and advisory firms in the healthcare and employee benefits space. With a focus on driving significant business growth, this role will manage and cultivate existing consultant relationships, consistently working in the field to build new connections and strengthen existing ones. By leveraging these relationships, the VP of Consultant Relations will help increase our top-of-funnel opportunities, improve funnel conversion to finalist, and boost our win rate from. This position is critical in ensuring that Rightway’s PBM, Care Navigation, and Unity products are effectively positioned within the consultant community to drive market success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Manage and cultivate a portfolio of consultant relationships within your assigned region, working actively to strengthen existing partnerships and build new ones. Ensure consistent and effective communication of Rightway’s value propositions to position our solutions as top choices for their clients.
  • Lead and mentor a small team within the consultant relations function, fostering a high-performance culture focused on achieving ambitious growth targets. Ensure the team is equipped to manage relationships effectively and deliver exceptional service to consultants.
  • Lead efforts to expand Rightway’s presence within the consultant community, strategically targeting and engaging consultants who influence decision-making within key market segments. Develop and implement a business plan to increase consultant-driven opportunities and revenue.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, product, and marketing, to ensure alignment between consultant engagement efforts and Rightway’s broader business goals. Incorporate consultant feedback into our go-to-market strategies to enhance product offerings and positioning.
  • Regularly travel to meet with consultants, actively engaging in the field to nurture relationships and uncover new business opportunities. Use these interactions to drive growth in our sales pipeline and enhance consultant advocacy for Rightway’s solutions.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • 7+ years of experience in consultant relations, business development, or a related role within the healthcare or benefits industry, with a proven track record of managing and growing consultant relationships.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive business growth, with a data-driven approach to optimizing consultant engagement and sales outcomes.
  • Deep knowledge of the healthcare benefits landscape, including PBM, Care Navigation, and related services, with a strong understanding of the consultant community’s dynamics.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage consultants and internal stakeholders at all levels.

EXTRA CREDIT:

  • Masters degree
  • Experience in the direct care navigation and/or PBM space

SALARY (BEFORE BONUS POTENTIAL):  $170,000 - $200,000 base
