Your missions

Overview:

The Public Health Project Manager will lead and coordinate public health projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing project teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of project objectives. The Project Manager will apply their expertise in public health, project management, and leadership to drive initiatives that address public health issues, policy implementation, and programs.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management:

·       Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

·       Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.

·       Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful completion.

·       Prepare and manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure project financial objectives are met.

 

Team Leadership:

·       Lead and motivate project teams, providing direction, support, and feedback.

·       Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals.

·       Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and high performance.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

·       Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including government agencies, partner organizations, and internal partners.

·       Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

·       Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to keep stakeholders informed and involved.

 

Risk Management:

·       Identify potential risks to project success and develop mitigation strategies.

·       Monitor risks throughout the project and implement changes as needed to minimize impact.

 

 

Evaluation and Reporting:

·       Develop and implement evaluation frameworks to assess project outcomes and impact.

·       Prepare detailed reports on project progress, challenges, and achievements for internal and external stakeholders. Present findings and recommendations.

 

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

·       Ensure all project activities comply with standards, regulations, and ethical guidelines.

·       Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards in project deliverables and work products.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Project Management, or a related field.

·       Proven experience (4+ years) in managing public health projects or similar roles.

·       Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.

·       Experience advising/briefing senior executives.

·       Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including joint-venture and/or subcontract partners.

·       Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and resource management.

·       Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.

·       Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

·       Ability to provide guidance and direction for specific projects or sub-tasks.

·       Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

·       Proficiency in project management software and tools.

·       Knowledge of public health principles, policies, and practices.

·       High degree of comfort working in unstructured situations and ability to maintain poise, maturity, and work well under pressure.

·       Solid verbal communication and narrative development skills, with the ability to summarize and convey key insights from analyses to senior audiences.

·       Ability to analyze data, evaluate outcomes, and make informed decisions.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, MPH, MSOD)

·       Certification in relevant field (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP, Change Management)

·       Experience supporting federal or state government agencies, particularly public-health focuses agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

Pay Range: USD $140,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr. EEO:
