What will you do in this role?

You will manage and drive the daily job-site activities while providing production, construction and customer experience expertise. You ensure that your team is able to create an impeccable customer experience while completing homes on time, within budget and to Oakwood’s quality standards. You will:

  • Cultivate the best construction team in the country by creating goals, building teams, and driving results
  • Create the vision for your teams based on Oakwood Homes Core Values: Integrity, People First Attitude, Customer Focus, Adaptability, and Passion
  • Be proactive.  Drive outcomes based on the goals of the business unit.
  • Understand the big picture and start each project with the end in mind.
  • Ensure a high level of integrity with reporting and daily focus on CPR accuracy
  • Work with trade partners to create a true win-win experience for all.
  • Coordinate Community Kick Offs and work closely with the Land Department on Lot Turn Overs
  • Drive 45 day Survey results by attending the 30 day H/O follow up meetings with customer care
  • Continue to improve the overall quality of our finished homes by providing feedback to the team on every home via the management acceptance walk
  • Support your team by:
    • Ensuring weekly safe site reports are completed accurately
    • Ensuring the appropriate training is implemented based on Oakwood Construction standards and that professional development / goals are identified and implemented
    • Ensuring your Regional Manager is informed immediately regarding any associate issues that may arise.
    • Ensuring time-off requests are reviewed in a timely manner
    • Ensuring all performance processes (i.e. 9-Box, 360s, commitment cards, etc.) are completed timely
  • Be responsible for the overall quality and appearance for the model complex’s
  • Prioritize tasks and follow thru so you can be the most effective leader
  • Understand the goal, and clearly communicate expectations to your team, holding them accountable every time
  • Create high standards for community appearance with daily focus
  • Assist in the development of the indirect construction budgets and drive teams to meet or beat budgeted goals
  • Work cooperatively with customers, government agencies, and the public to create “community”
  • Work closely with other departments to promote synergy within the operation
  • Become the go to person for difficult issues that arise and set the standard for a value-based approach to solutions.
  • Perform related projects as assigned
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working for a residential production builder or similar field
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Excellent ability to multi-task, strong attention to detail, effectiveness at prioritization and very adaptable
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to hold oneself accountable and possesses a high degree of self-awareness
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

Attention: This position will primarily be working in Erie and Johnstown, Colorado
