Coordinator, Higg Index Facility Tools

Cascale is a global, non-profit alliance of 300 leading apparel, footwear, and textile brands, retailers, manufacturers, sourcing agents, service providers, trade associations, NGOs and academic institutions.

Formerly known as the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, we are stepping into a new era of impact with a new name, new look, and same enduring vision. The SAC was incorporated as a 501(c) 6 nonprofit organization and launched the groundbreaking Higg Index suite of tools in 2011. To reach this shared vision, we have developed the Higg Index in collaboration with our members, to create a global approach for effectively measuring and evaluating the social and environmental impacts of value chains and products. Our groundbreaking tools enable organizations to identify hotspots, improve sustainability performance, save time and money, and engage with value chain partners to scale systemic change across the industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Higg Index Facility Tools team to support planning, execution and monitoring of Cascale’s Facility Tools roadmap
  • Support research and analysis within Facility Tools, including proactive benchmarking and comparison of Cascale’s tool framework with comparable systems
  • Support creation of surveys, presentation decks, training materials development, and other collateral materials as needed  
  • Support in the execution of virtual, such as webinars, and in-person events as needed
  • In collaboration with the global membership team and Higg subject matter experts, respond to and / or direct members’ enquiries and update communication platform on a regular basis
  • Organize and prepare internal and external meeting agenda & logistics for Strategic Councils and other activities
  • Consolidate and analyze key impact data on a regular basis to inform team leadership
 

Project Support:

  •    Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution within the Facility team
  •    Maintain project timelines, task lists, and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:

 
  • 2+ years of work experience in the apparel, footwear, or textiles industries
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
  • Capability to work independently while collaborating with staff.
  • Keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Comfortable working remotely on international time zones 
  • Bachelor in environmental science/ environmental & chemical engineering/ environmental technology/ environmental management/ sustainability related degrees preferred.

Reporting Structure

This is a full-time role, reporting directly to the Director, Higg Index Facility Tools.

 

Compensation and Location

Cascale offers competitive salary commensurate with experience. Salary bands are based on the country of location.
