In the litigation department, you will gain insight into legal method and civil procedure, learn about evidence theory and to write short and precise texts. You will become an expert on air passenger rights according to EU Regulation 261/2004, and you can get to have oral court hearings in person, via phone or via video.
As team lead you will manage a team of 8 legal case workers whom youâll work closely with to ensure high quality of cases and effective legal representation in Denmark.  You will report to our Chief Legal Officer, Attorney-at-law, Benedikte Bolvig Lund. There is also the possibility of being authorized as assistant attorney (advokatfuldmægtig).
Our core tasks include:
- Preparation of pleadings in court cases.
- Settlement negotiations with the airlines.
- Contact with air passengers about what they have experienced.
- Contact with the courts regarding our cases.
- Assessing whether verdicts should be appealed and making appeals.
- Contact with external partners, including external law firms.
In the litigation department you will also work with optimizing our work processes for example by investigating and implementing new technologies that can help us.
Furthermore, the litigation department handles the enforcement of our verdicts via the enforcement courts.
The litigation department currently consists of 16 colleagues, who work full-time or part-time and who come from legal and non-legal backgrounds.
We are based in Copenhagen, but we are a Nordic and international workplace with colleagues from all over who speak English, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Polish, Russian, German and many more languages.
Our company language is English and through our parent company, Flightright, we have colleagues located in Berlin, Budapest, Kyiv, and Cairo. Are you taking a long weekend in Berlin, then feel free to work from the office in there.
